Nagar Parishad Niwali Buzurg is the urban local body responsible for civic administration and infrastructure development in the town of Niwali Buzurg, District Barwani, Madhya Pradesh.

ABOUT TOWN – Niwali Buzurg

According to the 2011 Census of India, Niwali Buzurg is a prominent village located in Niwali Tehsil of Barwani District, Madhya Pradesh. The village comprises approximately 2,105 households and has a total population of 20,101, including 9,792 males and 10,309 females.

The sex ratio is notably high at 1,181 females per 1,000 males, well above the state average. Children aged 0 to 6 years account for around 16.5% of the total population.

The overall literacy rate stands at 72.03%, with male literacy at 76.64% and female literacy at 68.26%, which is higher than the state average. The village also has a significant presence of Scheduled Tribes (56.6%) and Scheduled Castes (8.3%).
